Accepting a Looming Layoff

Accepting the fact that you're being laid-off is surely difficult; you've spent the past decade or so in an environment where your work was valued and respected. Spending the last months of your tenure with consultants in an effort to build the web services that are to replace you is certainly not the ideal way to depart. Though it may be an affront to your pride, getting angry over this inevitable transition will only eliminate the congenial feelings from the time in your position.
