Responsibilities
  • Representing the University to prospective students and the general public with the highest degree of professionalism through an array of outreach programs and activities;
  • Developing student leadership skills through collaborative work in planning and implementing recruitment & retention events and programs;

Responsibilities

The Director of Admissions is a key member of the enrollment management team with primary responsibility for the recruitment, admission and enrollment of new graduate students. The Director of Admission provides leadership in the achievement of enrollment targets and is responsible for the admissions policies, processes, and practices. S/he supervises a professional admissions staff who are responsible for recruitment and advise inquiries, applicants, and incoming students throughout the admissions process. Under the guidance of the Associate Dean for Enrollment Management, the Director tracks enrollment trends and communicates them in a timely, efficient and accurate manner to various constituents.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for systems and processes for course schedule development
  • Ensure that the Fall and Spring schedules are produced on time, meet students’ needs and achieve or exceed institutional productivity targets

Assistant Registrar, four-year public university

Assistant Registrar
Responsibilities

The Assistant Registrar assists and works under the direction of the Registrar to lead, analyze, plan, and implement the operations and administrative requirements for graduation.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage operational activities of graduation and degree audit processes which includes supervision of staff members. Provide leadership to staff members and in processes affecting operational functions from graduation application to degree audit
  • Ensure the timely audit of graduation applications for completion of degree requirements at the undergraduate levels. Collaborate with colleges, departments and other academic units to resolve issues related to undergraduate graduation and degree progress.
  • Manage and develop reports for purposes of establishing production measures and ensure compliance.
  • Develop and implement best business practices that improve and maintain customer service and communications with all university constituents
  • Make budget recommendations relative to assigned areas of responsibility
Qualifications

Baccalaureate degree required; master’s degree strongly preferred. We require a minimum of five years of full-time experience in a records environment, with emphasis on university graduation processes. This experience must include at least two years in a supervisory role. A master’s degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of professional experience.

Successful candidates will demonstrate technical skill with student information systems/databases, including PeopleSoft and imaging software, and will possess experience managing multiple projects in a fast paced environment. Additionally, candidates must possess excellent written and oral communications skills and have the ability to work with diverse constituencies.

Other preferred qualifications include experience with transfer credits, graduation processing and degree audit; managerial experience in a higher education records/registrar environment and experience supervising in a bargaining environment.

Under the direction of the school’s Deans, ensure the admissions process is properly informed as to the school-specific academic mission, that the academic integrity in all admissions processes are maintained, and school-specific requirements and standards per accreditation bodies are met.
