Overview
The Director of Recruitment & Enrollment supports institutional enrollment goals by leading strategic recruitment, outreach, and enrollment efforts. This position provides operational and personnel oversight to enhance student onboarding, community partnerships, and overall student success.
This position is eligible for hybrid work location, per Everett Community College’s telecommuting policy
Duties & Responsibilities
Recruitment & Outreach
• Develop and implement innovative outreach and recruiting strategies.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to strengthen recruitment efforts.
• Plan and coordinate targeted recruitment activities and events aligned with enrollment goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with schools, businesses, and community organizations.
• Track and evaluate outreach, recruitment, and admissions activity.
• Support high school partnerships to increase concurrent and matriculating student enrollment.
• Communicate relevant data to internal stakeholders to inform strategies and initiatives.
Enrollment
• Ensure smooth transitions for students from enrollment to other teams and departments
• Oversee the online admissions application processes and staff.
• Analyze enrollment data and provide regular reports and proposals to leadership.
• Support guided pathways by promoting pathway placement during initial enrollment.
• Develop student communication plans with input from stakeholder groups.
Managerial Oversight
• Provide leadership, guidance, and subject matter expertise in the areas of student recruitment, outreach, and enrollment.
• Coordinate multiple projects and priorities across departments and locations.
• Supervise and evaluate assigned personnel, including discipline and annual review processes.
• Make recommendations concerning hires or terminations, as necessary.
• Manage assigned budgets in accordance with College and State policies.
General Duties
• Represent the College at events and meetings with external partners.
• Serve as the College’s liaison for outreach and recruitment with external agencies and organizations.
• Lead or support departmental and campus-wide projects, committees, and initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental operations and campus needs.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in education, communications, business, public administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Three years of experience in outreach, recruitment, admissions, enrollment services, or related student services.
• One year of experience supervising staff and managing projects or programs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledge of effective outreach, recruitment, and enrollment practices in higher education.
• Ability to develop and implement communication plans for diverse populations.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on trends and outcomes.
• Skill in building and maintaining partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency with office software used for communication, reporting, and presenting.
• Ability to foster inclusive outreach strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Washington State community and technical college enrollment processes.
• Experience with high school partnership programs.
• Familiarity with strategic enrollment management.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
• Full-time position, Monday through Friday, twelve (12) months per year.
• FLSA exempt employee with a year-to-year contract.
• Position is subject to Everett Community College policies and procedures.
• Performance will be evaluated annually.
