Vice President for Recruitment and Enrollment Management

Ivy Tech Community College, in partnership with the national search firm Scott Healy & Associates, invites applications and nominations for the position of Vice President of Recruitment and Enrollment Management. Based at the college’s systems office in Indianapolis and leading the largest and fastest-growing college in Indiana that serves over 198,000 students annually, the Vice President of Recruitment and Enrollment Management serves as the chief strategist on Ivy Tech’s recruitment and enrollment matters. This position is a critical leadership role responsible for creating, leading, and managing a comprehensive recruitment and enrollment program that incorporates best practices in recruitment, admissions, and lead-based management through engagement with the college’s 19 campuses and systems office. This role is one of five Vice Presidents on the Provost Office team.

Responsibilities:

  • Command of all aspects of the recruitment operations.
  • Champion a recurring training program supporting campus recruiters and enrollment specialists focused on relationship building and conversion.
  • Strategically produce annual admissions forecasts, predictive models, and budgets; build, lead, and motivate the appropriate teams to meet enrollment goals.
  • Lead the college’s use of the Ivy Connect (Salesforce) Customer Relationship Management (CRM) support recruitment and enrollment efforts.
  • Supervise teams that manage campaigns and contracted services for inbound and outbound contact centers.
  • Support the college’s transition to Workday Student. Leverage emerging technologies to reach students, families, employers, working adults, and secondary school leadership.
  • Foster relationships with key influencers, including, but not limited to, community-based organizations, industry leaders, employers, and community partners.
  • Identify barriers to equitable access to enrollment and create solutions to serve all Hoosiers.
  • Optimize the use of available federal, state, and institutional resources in the recruitment and retention of students ensuring campus compliance with all federal and state agencies’ regulations and policies.
  • Support and integrate Skills Training (the College’s non-credit/non-degree offerings) and employer-sponsored student recruitment and enrollment into overall College efforts working cross-collaboratively with the Vice President of Ivy+ CareerLink.
  • Partner with the Vice President of Marketing and Communications to develop an integrated plan and toolkit for recruitment and enrollment.
  • Engage with the College’s business intelligence team to provide comprehensive and data-informed analyses.
  • Monitor and evaluate the specific programs, services, and functions designed to meet institutional objectives related to enrollment management to optimize net tuition revenue.
  • Collaborate with the College’s Vice President for Student Financial Aid to streamline financial aid practices as it pertains to recruitment and enrollment.
  • Strategize with K14 leadership teams to grow dual credit and dual enrollment programs supporting overall educational attainment goals and state initiatives.
  • Work closely with other departments, including Student Affairs and Workforce and Careers, to enhance the student experience and support the retention of students throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in education, business, or other related area, Master’s Degree or higher preferred.
  • A minimum of five years leading a sales or recruitment function required; higher education recruitment and enrollment experience recommended.
  • Demonstrated leadership in sales management, including developing and implementing data-driven programs, budgetary and personnel responsibilities, sales management planning, contract management, and program development required.
  • Highly efficient, effective, and results-oriented individual with strong business acumen, proven experience leading, motivating, and managing a team.
  • Experience with current and emerging technology (hardware and software solutions) related to sales. Expertise with web-based recruitment and enrollment efforts.
  • Knowledge of national and state issues related to higher education policies and practices that influence enrollment management.

Ivy Tech Community College was founded in 1963 as Indiana Vocational Technical College. Back then, the College focused primarily on technical and vocational education. Indianapolis boats more than 200 public parks covering over 11,000 acres of green space. Eagle Creek Park is the largest of these parks and ranks among the largest municipal parks in the country covering 4,766 acres.
