Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management

The Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management is an innovative and strategic enrollment manager with broad leadership skills. The incumbent, reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management, possesses the skills to provide wide-ranging leadership for enrollment management in a complex environment; superior communication and listening skills; exceptional analytical capacity and technological sophistication; ability to form strong, collaborative connections across the University and its partners. As the principal deputy to the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Chief Enrollment Officer, the AVP has day to day oversight of many core functions in enrollment management including, but not limited recruitment, admissions, financial aid, communications, and data analysis. In addition, the AVP is a strategic partner with the VP and campus leadership in setting and meeting enrollment goals.

The incumbent focuses specifically on managing the seamless collaboration and maximum efficiencies between the offices within Enrollment Management as well as campus stakeholders. Provides leadership and collaboration with the Directors for the successful planning of
resources, processes, and technology to ensure effective operation.

The Associate Vice President will have division-wide responsibility as it relates to marketing and communications, research, and assessment. Additionally, the Associate Vice President will be the senior leader of the division in the Vice President’s absence.

Salary Range: $94,343- $122,646 – Salary is commensurate with experience and internal equity

Required qualifications

Education: Masters degree

Experience: 10 years experience in higher education
Minimum of three years of experience in a leadership role related to enrollment management such as but not limited to director of admissions, recruitment, financial aid, university registrar, enrollment management communications/marketing, and enrollment management technology.
Other experience related to this could come from leadership in enrollment management or student success at the university or academic college level.
Experience with strategic enrollment management planning frameworks and/or processes.
Knowledge of current and emerging enrollment management technologies related to marketing, recruitment, admissions, financial aid, orientation, academic records, degree audit, academic advising, registration, and/or retention. In particular, knowledge of CRM utilization and optimization is needed.
Strong analytical skills utilizing data to make decisions and drive change.
Experience collaborating with many diverse campus stakeholders including, but not limited to academic colleges, student affairs, and information technology.
Skill in both verbal and written communications taking into consideration audience and message.
Skill in problem solving and decision making with strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications-

Education: Doctoral degree
Experience: Proficiency with change management in large, decentralized higher education organizations.
Experience with transfer recruitment and/or admissions.
Experience with distance education programs.
