The University Registrar will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our academic administration. This position requires a visionary leader who can leverage technology, data analytics, and innovative practices to enhance student services, streamline processes, and support the university’s strategic goals. Work Schedule:  

Full-time 12-month position

Advertised Salary:

$115,000+/annually, commensurate with experience

Primary Duties:

  • Responsible for all areas of the Office of the Registrar, including the supervision of staff, budget management, and the maintenance, security, and preservation of academic records.
  • Effective delivery of all services related to student records, registration, graduation, and course scheduling.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to improve the accuracy, accessibility, and security of student records and data.
  • Utilize data analytics to inform decision-making, enhance student success, and support institutional research and accreditation processes.
  • Collaborate with academic and administrative units to develop and maintain academic policies, procedures, and systems that promote student engagement and success.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and institutional regulations and policies related to student records and privacy including FERPA.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and customer service excellence among staff.
  • Represent the Office of the Registrar on various university committees and serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on matters related to academic administration.
  • Oversee commencement ceremonies and related activities, curriculum approval processes, and veteran certification.
  • Actively engage students, faculty, and staff to develop and promote student-centered approaches for Registrar-related functions in alignment with the University’s strategic enrollment management priorities.
  • Assist with maintaining and implementing technologies related to enrollment priorities. This includes, but is not limited to, systems such as Courseleaf (CAT, CIM, CLSS), Ad Astra, Civitas Learning, Peoplesoft (Campus Connection), Perceptive Content, and Parchment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Progressive levels of experience with 5+ years in a registrar’s office in higher education or related (e.g. registration and records, financial aid, admission, recruitment).
  • Demonstrated experience with student information systems (e.g., PeopleSoft), data analytics, and technology integration.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience interpreting and applying FERPA and other related federal regulations relating to higher education.
  • Ability to collaborate and build productive relationships with multiple departments on a college/university campus.
  • Thorough understanding of college/university structures, degree requirements, and academic policies/procedures.
  • Documented commitment to diversity and inclusion and ability to apply these concepts to academic policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and its improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Terminal degree
  • Demonstrated familiarity with industry best practices and standards through the American Association of College Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO).
  • Evidence of supervisory and leadership excellence with the ability to lead and manage change in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Record of successful leadership in the use and implementation of software related to a high-functioning registrar’s office.
