The Associate Registrar for Degree Audit and Curriculum provides comprehensive leadership and management of degree audit and curriculum functions within the Office of the University Registrar. This position oversees a team responsible for the maintenance and development of the university’s degree audit system (DARS), undergraduate catalog, academic program inventory, and graduation planning templates. Through collaboration with faculty, academic and administrative units, and the Office of Information Technology, the Associate Registrar ensures the accurate and timely implementation of curriculum changes and supports institutional compliance with university and state policies. The role requires strong leadership to guide cross-functional teams, mentor staff, and coordinate complex technical and policy-driven initiatives. In addition to managing daily operations, the Associate Registrar plays a critical role in strategic planning, process improvement, and the delivery of customized system solutions that support student progress and academic success.
Position Profile
Works with colleges, schools, and departments to understand and define IT system needs. Develops and recommends solutions. Plans implementation, integration and maintenance of solutions into business process or system design.
Level Summary
Supervises a team and ensures effective work activities within work unit. Has input on personnel actions for direct reports. Primarily focused on supervision, but may still engage in operational tasks similar to the direct reports’ roles. Accountable for the productivity and effectiveness of the team or department, ensuring goals are met.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages a small team. Directly oversees at least 2.0 FTE employees. Has authority to manage performance and assign duties. May have authority to hire, transfer, suspend, promote, discharge, reward, and discipline employees.
Fiscal Responsibilities
Responsible for managing a small budget or part of a larger budget.
Problem Solving
Solves interpersonal team issues and develops solutions for team-related problems. Seeks guidance from higher-level management on complex problems.
Independence of Action
Has discretion in decision-making but reports to higher-level management.
Communication and Collaboration
Collaborates with higher-level manager(s) and other teams, ensures team alignment with organizational goals.
Physical Requirements
This role is primarily desk-based and involves extensive use of desktop computers. Occasionally, the job may require travel to attend meetings and programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 3 or more years of related professional experience, and 1 or more years of supervisory experience, or equivalent education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Strongly prefer 3 years of supervisory experience
Master’s degree preferred
At least three years of work experience in University Registrar office, student services office, or related higher education experience which could include working with vendors or organizations who provide services to higher education, or other related jobs that connect with higher education institutions or college students, strongly preferred.
Experience with the following: PeopleSoft or other Student Information System; CollegeSource, uAchieve (encoding degree requirements); Modern Campus connected curriculum products; working at a comprehensive four-year public research university.

Pay Rate
Target hiring range for this role is $68,299 – $92,205. The final offer will be commensurate with the candidate’s education and experience in relation to the minimum qualifications for the position, while also considering internal equity.
This position may have the option for hybrid or remote work options. Flexplace agreements will be determined upon hire.
