Admissions Counselor, International & Emerging Markets (Regional, Mid-Atlantic)

The Admissions Counselor, International & Emerging Markets serves as a member of the Admissions team, focusing on recruiting prospective students in support of the College’s enrollment management plan. The Admissions Counselor, International & Emerging Markets represents Penn College, both on and off campus, to prospective students, parents, secondary school counselors, community colleges, and other individuals and organizations involved in the college selection process both internationally and domestically. The individual will be responsible for developing and executing effective recruitment strategies for assigned geographic territories and student populations. This is a Mid-Atlantic regionally-based position which requires the person to work remotely.

Minimum education and experience include a Bachelor’s degree and experience in college admissions preferred, or related professional experience in marketing/sales.

Minimum abilities and skills include developed organizational skills; interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with prospective students, parents, secondary school personnel, College staff and the public; maintain an understanding of policies and procedures that relate to the use of international educational agents; sensitivity to the expectations of students, parents, and staff; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.; ability to adapt to changing assignments and multiple priorities; ability to work both collaboratively and independently; ability to work remotely for extended periods of time; ability to build strong working relationships with diverse groups; evidence of strong written communication and presentation skills; ability to make decisions and exercise independent judgment in a time-sensitive environment; solid technical skills including Microsoft Office; ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines; evidence of a strong customer-service orientation; ability to conduct admissions activities with the highest level of integrity.

Bilingual speaking and writing are desired.
