The Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine & Acupuncture (PIHMA) is now entering its 30th year, offering graduate medical degrees and continuing education.

College Registrar

Handles and oversees maintenance and security of student records/registration/degree completion requirements, including transcript evaluation for newly enrolled and transfer students.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of two (2) years (64 semester hours) postsecondary education from a regionally accredited institution
Ability to utilize Excel or other database software to sort and manage lists
Ability to utilize Word or other word processing tools to prepare and communicate information
A customer service mindset and/or experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Three to Five (5) minimum years of professional experience as a Registrar for an educational institution.
Able to manage a student information system, including entering data and producing reports
Assist students and parents online with the admissions, enrollment and registration process
Effective in records management and changes/updates, data entry, report generation
Engage in customer service via email and telephone
Participate in school activities
DESIRED PROFILE:
Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate through their experiences and accomplishments:

Experience in secondary or higher education institutions
A sensitivity to age and cultural diversity, with variety of students
The ability to handle multiple tasks and various situations in a calm and professional manner; sense of humor is helpful
Maintain integrity of records in compliance with regulatory requirements
Team player and collaborative
Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines, variable priorities and change
Open to growth while maintaining and preserving records
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure privacy of student information to college policies and legal requirements, including the Family Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and other applicable laws and regulations as well as those of other regulatory agencies regarding student data.
Use student information systems, auditing systems, and other related systems.
Evaluate coursework from other educational institutions, determine transferability.
Manage transfer credits to student records, and make recommendations to the VP of Academics and leadership team
Work with executive leadership, advisors, admissions team, and other faculty/staff with admissions questions related to transcript evaluation and transfer credits.
Evaluate and calculate data required for regulatory reports and monthly board reports.
Handle inquiries from applicants/students regarding transfer questions.
Send results of evaluations to admissions team.
Retain and submit documentation as requested to support accreditation
