Title: Registrar
Department: Records – Trinity Law School

Summary:
Registrar ensures the integrity, accuracy, and security of all academic records of current and former students; facilitate effective student registration and enrollment; builds secure student data files and set policy and procedure for their responsible use. The Registrar acts as a central communication resource for academic and policy information related to student records management.
Responsibilities:
·     Directs all operations in the registration process, including record creation, building course schedules, classroom assignment, grade processing, transcript issuance and student enrollment verification.

·     Manage Records Office staff, directing their activities, responsibilities and goals.

·     Manage internal academic policies with the Dean’s office to assure compliance with the Guidelines for Accredited Law School Rules as adopted by the Committee of Bar Examiners and other accreditation agencies and legal entities.  i.e. HLC, BPPE, Dept of Education, etc.

·     Responsible for the development of the academic calendar.

·     Oversees all operations related to the Records office, including transcript. evaluations, posting credits and processing and building transfer credit rules.

·     The Registrar attends and assists the Law Faculty Senate meetings.

·     Enforces compliance with the student catalog requirements.

·     Participates in Commencement ceremonies and certifies all student record documents related to degree completion and produces diplomas

·     Provides institutional research assistance for IPEDS, State Bar, and National Student Clearinghouse.

·     Receive and process all student petitions.

·     Coordinate with the Records office at the enterprise level.

·     Member of student services team and admissions committee member.
Qualifications: 
·     Supportive of Trinity’s mission and core values, commitment to a Christian lifestyle, and demonstration of character in keeping with biblical models.

·     Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.

·     Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

·     Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

·     Familiarity with Higher Ed Administration policies and processes preferred.

·     At least 3 years of University services experience.

·     Understand and comply with FERPA regulations.

·     Working knowledge of Salesforce preferred.

 
Working Relationships:
This position is a full-time position in the Academic Records Office. The Registrar reports to the Dean and works closely with all populations – students, alumni, faculty and staff.

Work Schedule:
The Academic Records Office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Office hours are subject to change as deemed necessary.

Compensation
This position will be paid $85,000 – $95,000 commensurate with experience
