The University of Hawai`i at Hilo (UH Hilo) invites applications and nominations for the
Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs/Enrollment Management
UH Hilo is a primarily undergraduate institution committed to being an Indigenous-serving
institution and fostering a Hawaiian place of learning as part of the University of Hawai`i system.
With an enrollment fluctuating between 2500 and 3000 students, UH Hilo offers approximately
fifty (50) bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees and over 25 certificates in various fields of
study.

The Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs/Enrollment Management (AVCSA) serves as a senior leader within the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo,
overseeing strategic enrollment management (SEM) and fostering an integrated approach to
recruitment, retention, and student success.

This position provides leadership for the university’s admissions, financial aid, and registrar
operations, supervising three director-level unit leads, and ensuring these functions align with
institutional priorities. The AVCSA serves as the strategic visionary and implementer of best
practices in enrollment management, leveraging their comprehensive knowledge of all three areas
to address the evolving needs of a diverse student body and enhance the university’s reputation
locally, nationally, and internationally.
