The Associate University Registrar is responsible for planning, organizing, and evaluating the daily operations of the Office of the Registrar. This position administers student enrollment activities and ensures functional use of the university student enrollment system. This position is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the service area of the Office of the Registrar and works as a member of the leadership team to ensure excellent service and the integrity of the academic record.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise three full-time and one part-time permanent staff. Supervise student assistants and temporary staff. Direct the work in the areas of: front office, service area, campus access security and transcripts. This includes registration/change of registration, FERPA directory restrictions, deferments and verifications, changes in student bio demo information, campus connection access, transcript production and delivery, National Student Clearinghouse error correction, graduation processing, and diploma issuance.
  • Manage academic records.
  • Support the Administrative Procedures Committee and the Student Academic Standards Committee.
  • Work collaboratively with registrar office staff and staff, faculty, and administrators across campus offices to provide support and excellent service relating to records, training, and overall needs of the campus community.
  • The Associate University Registrar will act for the University Registrar when they are out office.
  • The Associate Registrar is a member of the registrar’s team of managers and is an integral part of a positive, efficient, and productive work environment in the Office of the Registrar.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience with student records in higher education.
  • Experience supervising and evaluating full-time staff.
  • Experience working with PeopleSoft or a related student information system.
  • Experience working with PeopleSoft or a related student information system.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Higher Education or a related field.
  • Experience working in a Registrar’s Office.
  • Experience working with FERPA.
  • Experience developing and identifying policies and procedures.
  • Experience with continuous improvement techniques.
