Coordinator II, #109730 (Academic Scheduling Analyst)
Job Summary: Join the Office of the Registrar team at a “Great College to Work For” on the beautiful UWF campus just minutes from the beach. The Coordinator/Academic Scheduling Analyst will earn 7 hours of annual leave and 4 hours of sick leave on a biweekly basis, equating to 22 days of annual leave plus 13 days of sick leave per year. In addition to paid leave, you will receive 8 paid holidays plus a paid winter holiday break from Dec. 24 through Jan. 1. The Coordinator/Academic Scheduling Analyst will also have the opportunity to choose between a variety of retirement plans and select from affordable healthcare insurance plans. The Academic Scheduling Analyst manages the coordination of all academic and classroom scheduling processes handled by the Office of the Registrar, including but not limited to, scheduling of all general assignment classrooms, intake of all departmental and college course schedules for fall, spring, and summer semesters, communication with faculty, staff, and student organizations across campus about scheduling processes and procedures. The incumbent interprets and applies University policies related to classroom assignments and collaborates with the Provost’s Office to enforce state statutes for textbook compliance by ensuring compliance with the 45-day processing freeze. The incumbent troubleshoots and finds solutions for complex issues relating to classroom scheduling and reservations and communicates empathetically with customers throughout the process.
Position Qualifications: Experience with and knowledge of academic policies and procedures; Banner, EMS, CLSS, Degree Works and JIRA; Florida Statutes; Florida Administrative Code; Computer Software; FERPA (Family Education Rights and Privacy Act); State of Florida General Records Retention Schedules.
Preferred Qualifications: Higher Education/post-secondary experience: Two years of progressively responsible experience in Enrollment Affairs (Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar) or experiences directly related to an area of expertise that interacts with the business processes handled by these offices. Experience with University requirements. Working knowledge of Student Information Systems platform(s) – i.e. Banner/Ellucian, EMS, etc. Experience with training and technical development, public speaking, presentations, and quality customer service in higher education-related areas. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a highly detailed work environment, often independently. Effective written and verbal communication and “high-end customer service” skills, including an excellent command of the English language, grammar, and syntax. Ability to create, amplify, and maintain personable relationships across campus.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
