Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Associate Registrar for Academic Operations provides strategic direction, program development, and assessment for assigned areas. This position maintains primary responsibility for key academic operations functions including Registration, Academic Scheduling, and the Registrar’s Solution Center student navigation and support area. As a member of the Registrar’s Leadership team, this role leads strategic projects and initiatives for the office and division. This position is responsible for the stability and accuracy of registration functions and systems, semesterly registration configuration in the student information system (including term setup, waitlists, administrative drops, and override support), creation of the master calendar, and other related registration tasks. The position also oversees centralized academic scheduling processes and software in collaboration with campus stakeholders and in support of USHE space utilization requirements. Additionally, this position collaborates with the High School Dual Enrollment team to support concurrent enrollment operations. The role also collaborates with Davis Enrollment Services and the Community Education Center to provide comprehensive enrollment services at these locations. The Associate Registrar for Academic Operations supervises the Assistant Registrar for Academic Scheduling, the Assistant Registrar for Registration, and provides next-level management of three full-time Enrollment Specialists as well as hourly student staff. This role oversees academic standing for the university. The role also provides leadership and supervision for the Petitions Office, including serving as co-chair of the Academic Petitions Committee. This position serves on committees at the division and institutional level, cross-trains on office duties, and completes special projects as assigned. This position is responsible for system maintenance, testing, and enhancement for assigned areas, including frequent collaboration with IT.
Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Five years full-time higher education experience that includes one year of related supervisory experience
• Experience working with a student information system, such as Ellucian Banner
Preferred Qualifications:

• Two or more years working in the Registrar’s Office, specifically in Registration or Academic Scheduling
• Excellent technical fluency, experience working on strategic initiatives and policy implementation, demonstrated commitment to educational access and student success at an open-enrollment institution
• Bilingual skills, especially Spanish
