Position Description 

The Assistant Director of Undergraduate Recruitment, under the supervision of the Director of Recruitment, will oversee internal recruitment efforts and, as needed, external recruitment responsibilities. The Assistant Director will oversee three recruiters working in territories across the state of Georgia, ensure campus tours effectively portray the College in a good light and act as the primary liaison, coordinate between the Office of Admissions and other departments on campus, and aid in developing strategic admissions strategies. The Assistant Director of Undergraduate Recruitment will uphold the mission and vision of Wesleyan College. 

Overview of Responsibilities

  • Represent the Wesleyan College community to high school students, teachers, school counselors, and families at various on and off-campus events.
  • Assist with managing the out-of-state territory, including communicating with students, families, and counselors and occasionally traveling to visit schools and events as needed within the territory.
  • Conduct undergraduate admissions campus information sessions and tours.
  • Actively respond to the needs of school counselors when they request materials or request visits to their schools.
  • Assist with the recruitment planning process and plans to achieve enrollment goals.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of yield activities to involve faculty, staff and alumni in order to convert and yield admitted students to Wesleyan College.
  • Track, report and respond to data on undergraduate admissions numbers on a weekly basis to support strategies to achieve overall undergraduate enrollment goals.
  • Work with the marketing and communications team, and marketing vendors to ensure proper and timely communication with students. 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree, preferred.
  • Three or more years in related work experience, five or more years in related work experience, preferred.
  • Experience in recruiting undergraduate students to a college or university. 

Required Skills 

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships through providing high quality customer service with high school students, teachers, school counselors, and families.
  • Ability to drive engagement through meetings, networking, written communication, and programming.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to high school students, teachers, school counselors, and families.
  • Strong project management skills, including ability to strategically identify priorities, manage multiple projects, and create innovative programming.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to set, achieve, and assess goals and outcomes.
  • Ability to deliver group presentations as well as guide students individually through an admissions process. 

Salary 

$55,000 per year
